Thijs is 33 and lives with his girlfriend in the harbour town of Zierikzee, in the old town. In his spare time, he is often tinkering with his Defender, enjoys a walk along the Zeeland coast or hanging out with his friends at the bar.<\/p>\n

A new start<\/strong><\/p>\n

More than two years ago, Thijs came across the Sales Engineer vacancy; he was curious about the position. At that time, he needed a change in his career. After a good conversation with Martijn, he decided to make the switch to Flikweert Vision. What started with a mix of sales and technical drawing, soon grew into a versatile sales role. In the beginning, the Netherlands was his focus area, but now he is responsible for sales in Germany and Eastern Europe.<\/p>\n

Educational background<\/strong><\/p>\n

With his agricultural background, Thijs started studying Horticulture and Arable Farming. He then continued his studies with Agricultural Business Administration. This knowledge, combined with his technical insight, makes this job a perfect fit for him. And, last but not least, Thijs speaks the farmer's language: he knows the issues, understands the needs and feels the challenges of the farmer like no other.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n\n\n

The perfect mix<\/strong><\/p>\n

When Thijs started at Flikweert Vision, he was soon given responsibility. He thought along from marketing, trade fairs to product development. With his broad interests, he learned a lot in a short time. He has witnessed Flikweert Vision's growth at close quarters: \u201cWe once started with a small, cosy workplace and now we are in a professional office. I think it's kind of cool to see that growth and development like that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Biggest challenge<\/strong><\/p>\n

One of the biggest challenges for Thijs? Entering new markets. He barely spoke German at first, but by actively engaging with it, he quickly mastered the language. Now, he helps companies throughout Eastern Europe with smart solutions for the agricultural sector, contributing to Flikweert Vision's vision.<\/p>\n

His drive?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Thijs appreciates the energy of the team at Flikweert Vision. Our young, driven team has a clear mindset: work hard, play hard. International trade fairs are the perfect example During the day talking to potential customers and ending the day with the team in the evening.
